Can you paint a piece I already own?

Yes, we are now accepting outside custom furniture orders! Please visit our "Custom Work" page for details and inquires.

How long does it take to have a piece customized?

Our average processing time for custom orders is 4-8 weeks.

Can you come to my house and work on site?

We do offer onsite painting of walls, cabinetry, and more. Please contact us for more information!

Damage Policy

If you choose not to have your item(s) delivered, any damages that may incur while loading are solely your responsibility, and not that of The Industrial Cottage.

Return Policy

ALL PAINTED/CUSTOMIZED FURNITURE AND CUSTOM ORDER RUGS ARE NON-RETURNABLE. We do not accept returns or exchanges on painted goods off our floor or on custom ordered rugs. All sales are final. Please inspect & review the product carefully and ask any questions you may have before purchasing. Shipping and/or Delivery costs will vary & are nonrefundable.

NEW OR “AS IS” FURNITURE, HOME DECOR, ACCESSORIES, LINENS, TEXTILES, AND UNOPENED PAINT PRODUCTS are returnable or exchangeable within 14 days of purchase date. Shipping costs are non-refundable and return shipping must be paid by the customer. Vintage/“as is” items will show age & imperfections. Please inspect & review the product carefully and ask any questions you may have before purchasing. Shipping and/or Delivery costs will vary & are nonrefundable. Exchanged items are non-refundable to the original form of payment and will be issued in store credit in the form of a gift card if returned within 14 days of exchange date.

SALE AND CLEARANCE ITEMS items are non-returnable and non-refundable. All sales are final.

Storage Policy

If purchased item(s) are not picked up within 3 weeks of initial pickup notification or purchase date, a $25 weekly storage fee will be applied to your balance. If item(s) are not picked up within 3 months of initial pickup notification or purchase date, the item(s) is therefore forfeited and becomes property of The Industrial Cottage.

Can you repair furniture?

We can make small repairs to loose drawers, wobbly chair or table legs, broken doors, etc... on pieces purchased off our store floor, however we do not make repairs on outside furniture pieces brought in for customization. We recommend having your piece repaired by a professional before bringing it in for painting, lacquering, or refinishing.

Do you ship?

Yes. We use uShip for our furniture pieces. And USPS for small items like paint & accessories.

Curbside epick up is available for furniture pieces and accessories. In store or curbside pickup at 2500 B Church St., Norfolk, Virginia 23504. Most items are ready within 24 hrs. You will be notified when your order is ready for pickup.

Shipping is NOT FREE. If you need this item shipped, please contact us BEFORE you check out for a shipping quote. Items ship standard UPS Ground and arrive in approximately 5-7 business days. We are not responsible for any shipping or in-transit damages. If you have a problem with your order, please contact us immediately.
